Abstract:In order to study the effect of the H2 content on the reduction and softening- melting properties of iron- bearing charge, the effect of different H2 content on the reduction performance of iron- bearing charge was analyzed by using a program reduction furnace, and the influence of the H2 content on the softening- melting performance of iron- bearing charge was simulated using a high- temperature drop furnace to simulate the injection of hydrogen- containing gas in the blast furnace. The results showed that when the H2 content was increased, the softening temperature of the charge would increase and the dripping temperature would gradually decrease. At the same time, the air permeability of the charge structure would be improved, making the slag iron easier to separate. The H2 content can reduce the FeO content in the iron charge, weakening the decarburization reaction and thus increasing the [C] content in the pig iron. At low temperature, the H2 concentration had almost no effect on the reduction, while high temperature promoted the reducing ability of H2.At the same time, H2 promoted the precipitation of Fe in iron- bearing charge.
